Mid America Kustoms est 2019
Mid America Kustoms was started in mid 2019 by Nick Taylor and myself as a way to live the life we loved, which was racing and working on cars. With the help of great customers, friends, and our Team260 family we were able to grow our business into a true labor of love. With Zach Whitaker's help we also were able to grow the MAK TV channel into something special. With our great group of Team260 guys we were also able to make a strong presence in the back track no prep racing game. In mid 2022 Nick left MAK to pursue other life goals. I now run the shop by myself but often work with teamates Shawn Fensler (Bumper Wilson Tuning) Dylan Bodigon (Bodigon Performance & Fab), and Mick Bodigon (Flat Top Garage) to ensure we can meet all our customers needs and goals.

I have been a gear head for a long as I can remember. My Dad always loved cars and we always had plenty of them sitting around when I was growing up. After high school I attended IPFW where I earned a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree. I worked as a process/mechanical engineer for almost 15 years at different companies but always sold parts and worked on cars on the side. I started tuning EFI when I first put a Accel DFI kit on my camaro in 2005. In the mid 2010's with help from Chris Bishir I LS turbo swapped my Camaro and added Holley EFI. Chris taught me a lot early on about Holley EFI. As the LS turbo swap thing really started to grow it was obvious that there was a large demand for guys capable of tuning it. I begin taking on customer cars on the side by doing installs and tuning. As time went on and the growing number of people switching to EFI went with it I found myself lucky enough to be able to make a living doing EFI system installs and tuning for a living. I count my blessings everyday that I get to do what I love and be surrounded by the best group of family and friends anyone could ever ask for!
